Biker Rock Music Mongolian Style - The HU

The official music video for The HU's "Wolf Totem"
The HU is a Mongolian band that plays Hunnu Rock with Mongolian instrumentation, like a horsehead fiddle (morin khuur), Jew's harp (tumur khuur) and Mongolian guitar (tovshuur), and Mongolian throat singing, with the pounding bass and drums of rock. The band plans to release its first album in Spring 2019, entitled Gereg, the name for a diplomatic passport used during the time of Genghis Khan. They said they have worked on it for seven years and it will contain nine tracks. The band calls their style of music "hunnu rock", (hunnu aka hun) hu being a Mongolian root word for "human". Hunnu is an ancient empire that was present in central Asia and in present-day Mongolian territory around 210 BC. In the west, they are known as the Huns, yes, as in Atilla the Hun.

Scientific Proof That 99.999% of Today's Music Totally Sucks

Video Produced by Thoughty2

The most popular song in music history is “Gangnam Style.”
It has more than 2.4 billion views on YouTube. Quality has become irrelevant. Only an artist’s image or sociopolitical persuasion holds water. For example, Rihanna has had 13 No. 1 hit singles on the Billboard Top 100 and Led Zeppelin never had one; the cast of “Glee” has had more chart-toppers than the Beatles. Play the Best Song in the World or I'll Eat Your Soul

Tenacious D's official music video for 'Tribute'.
---------
Lyrics:

This is the greatest and best song in the world... Tribute.

Long time ago me and my brother Kyle here,
we was hitchhikin' down a long and lonesome road.
All of a sudden, there shined a shiny demon... in the middle... of the road.
And he said:
[Sung]
Play the best song in the world, or I'll eat your soul. (soul)
[Spoken]
Well me and Kyle, we looked at each other,
and we each said... Okay.
[Sung]
And we played the first thing that came to our heads,
Just so happened to be,
The Best Song in the World, it was The Best Song in the World.

Tenacious D Kicked the Devil's Ass Back to Georgia

Tenacious D has always been one of my secret pleasures in the music world. I was introduced to them by one of my favorite not-sons, E, who used to be a frequent contributor here on Bonez. However, his talents far outgrew his Master's teachings and he moved on to bigger and better things elsewhere. Tenacious D is the greatest band in the world of all time (according to them) and is made up of Jack Black and Kyle Gass. I plan on more posts soon featuring Tenacious D and Jack Black's influence in the entertainment industry. Stay Tuned!

End Of The World More Fun Than Anticipated

Scientists, Theologians, Political Pundits, Celebrities (including Saint Britney below) and regular ol' Joes and Janes on the street are predicting that the End of the World (EOTW) will be much more fun than first anticipated.

Saint Britney tells us in her sacred music video that we can get all sweaty at our local Rave with tons of hot twenty-somethings and dance the apocalypse away in the sewers. Imagine how wonderful it will be when we all emerge from the manholes with the beautiful sun shining just as it always has and the EOTW nowhere in sight. Now THAT is a message of hope and peace and not one of death, doom, destruction, and insane angry Gods. Gods who love us so much that they are insanely jealous and will kill every living creature and blow up their universe to show us just how pissed they really are at their loving spirit children. "THERE! Take THAT you naughty little children that I Love so dearly." "Bad Earth, I have to blow you up to show you just how much I really really Love you!"

Of course, Jesus the Christ himself told everyone that this sort of stupid thing would happen and that many would come out of nowhere crying, "The end is near!" and that they possessed some sort of secret knowledge to save us all and some would even claim to be the Messiah him/herself. In fact, some of these false prophets will be so convincing that they could or would deceive even the sanest and staunch true Believer ... like these guys who are obviously totally oblivious to the insanity, they are destroying their very lives, businesses, and families with. Wonder what they will be doing the morning of May 22nd, 2011 ...

I know, I know, I know ... why would Harold Camping and his horde of mindless zombie followers listen to what Jesus Christ said? They nor the established "church" have ever taken anything he really said to heart or they would not be in between the rock and a hard place they find themselves in on this eve of doomsday.

Wanna know what really pisses me off? What makes me really angry are how many people will be misled or deceived into having a really bad Saturday instead of enjoying it to its fullest potential. How many poor, unable to think for themselves folks will end their own lives or do stupid things like selling all their junk and stand in the middle of the street naked, arms raised to the skies waiting to embrace the returning Jesus in the clouds. Of course, only "born again Christians" will be so lucky to be snatched up out of harm's way of the worldwide earthquake ... yet that Christian God Loves EVERYONE ... wow, talk about a mixed message.

It is my opinion that Harold Camping and his ilk are emotional vampire dicks who feed off of the fear and guilt they generate through deception and terroristic stories of eternal damnation and suffering. They gain their false sense of power from how many people they can dupe into believing them as authorities on what God really wants. Yeah, like God really wants you to give these jerks your money and your very soul. Asshats.

Oh, and to think that it took the "Gay Movement" in America to finally tick God off enough to pull the plug on his/her entire creation. So, Harold Camping is personifying God with his own homophobic tendencies. Guess you can't burn the Gays without a little collateral damage ... like THE ENTIRE HUMAN FRAKKIN RACE! Sheesh.

If there is a Hell then Harold Camping and others like him have their own special reserved torture chambers awaiting them.

While My Soul Gently Weeps

Jake Shimabukuro's hauntingly beautiful ukulele rendition of George Harrison's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" speaks to my soul. It is one of those pieces of music that transcends the lyrics and reaches down inside of me and pulls up the desire for introspection and personal evaluation. Am I on track? Have I truly been the best ME I am capable of being?

You say, really, Dude? You mean to tell me that you get all that mushy spiritual soul searching crap just from listening to an old Beatles' melody? Wow, you must really be an emotional basket case and one of them weepy girlie manZ to get all gooey inside over such a trivial thing like a tune.

Hah! If only you knew, dear Reader. I used to "fear" such thoughts or comments from anyone who discovered my susceptibility to drop-of-the-hat weeping ... well, at least tearing up if not outright sobbing my eyes out. All at the slightest emotional trigger pull of a simple song or even a phrase out of the blue. The "trigger" doesn't even have to have any obvious linkage to the thought behind the tears. I can easily experience sort of a flashback to some other place and time in the past and feel all the intensity of the raw emotions just as if it were actually happening in this very moment of present time and space.

Yeah, it can be embarrassing at times or even inconvenient but it is what it is and I have grown to accept that it is what is right for me. Some call it "soft hearted" and some "in touch with your feelings" or others "strength" to be man enough to display tender emotions coming directly from very heart and soul. I am grateful for it, honestly, and consider it something that is a vital part of who I really am today as a person and a spiritual being. Maybe it is genetic because all of my children seem to possess the same tendency.

Take today, for example. I was chatting with a dear friend and we were discussing my previous blog work on Bad Monkey No Banana which is now a memorial to my brother Charles who transitioned after a battle with head and neck cancer. During the conversation I started tearing up and then outright crying and had to get up and close my office door and compose myself. All because of someone commenting on something that transpired six years ago. Not to say that losing a loved one, especially a sibling, is something you ever "get over" but just saying that this sort of thing can be a daily occurrence with me. Especially if I am going through rough times in other areas of my Life as I have been for the last four or five years.

So, when I stumbled across this video of Jake Shimabukuro playing "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" I was already getting misty-eyed in the first few seconds of playing ...

I suddenly flashed to being fifteen years old
sitting crossed-legged on the floor of my bedroom
back against my bed wearing those old big ass goofy headphones
hearing Eric Clapton playing lead guitar and George on acoustic
Beatles' White Album
1970
hot salty tears streaming down my face
in ecstasy as the notes pierced the core of my being
the deep inner me that was afraid to come out into the "real world" of my abused childhood
15 again
feeling the pain and fear
releasing my soul to fly on the very notes themselves
fly away to a place where I was free
of the pain and fear
forever

And then, just like a snap I was back in this moment, forty years later, feeling silly at being such a girly man with very real now tears on my cheeks.

I'm a Freak Bitch, Baby I Don't Wanna be Friends

I have a confession to make.

I choose right now to boldly step out of the closet and admit my dark secret infatuation for Lady GaGa. There, I did it and I am not ashamed. Yes true BONEZ believers, that strange ... nee, Bizarre sexy nymph over-the-top songstress has captivated my sweaty music video psycho-sexual fantasies. In doing so, Lady GaGa has accomplished what no other pop diva could have hoped for and dethroned the Material Girl Like a Virgin Madonna who reigned over my deeply buried fetish urges for the last twenty-something years. I do not care how un-Biker-like it may be to come clean with this confession. I do so with full understanding that I may well become a marked man for ridicule and derision in the Biker Community at large. DILLIGAF? Of course not. Ride your own ride, Baby, and mine is Lady GaGa ... at least for this post.

I do not know what attracts me so much to her art (yes, I believe it is ART and superb showmanship). Maybe it is the combination of psycho-sexual innuendo, classic glamor infused with fantasy and science fiction anime-like qualities ... every fanboy's fetish wet dream? Her songs get caught up in my head and I find myself mentally singing,

"I want your love
love-love-love
I want your love"

over and over and it actually makes me feel good and light spirited in my stressful corporate shark infested world. And if it makes me feel good then it is good for me and true to my real nature. Thus, I am going with it and openly confessing my devotion to Lady GaGa here in front of the whole multitude of BONEZ fanatics... all three or five of them.

"I want your ugly
I want your disease
I want your everything
As long as it’s free
I want your love
Love-love-love
I want your love"

Hell, I do not even know what most of the words really mean, but it is so much fun in my brain and it makes my heart leap. The wicked vision she creates through her videos makes it all such a wonderful escapist excursion into her questionable manipulated reality and I do not care that others know I Live there for brief moments. It helps me cope with the steaming pile of feces that my own reality sometimes becomes and gives me renewed hope and strength that I will turn that pile of crap into a better tomorrow ... tomorrow. Isn't that what ART does? Inspires us to better tomorrows?

Just to show that I am not totally GaGa over the Lady I give you Caught in a bad BROmance created by some sick brethren that will have you singing

"Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah!
Rom-mah-rom-mum-mah!
GaGa-oo-la-la!
Want your bad " BROmance.

Ra Ra Ooo Rah Rah a Bad BROmance Part Deux with an even sicker version of just plain outright Wrongness. I Don't Wanna be Friends!

Stayin' Alive in the Wall

Holy Crap! Almost a month without a post on Bonez? I guess the unofficial music guy will have to jump in and stir things up a bit.

This is a mash-up of Stayin' Alive by the Bee Gees and Another Brick in the Wall: Part II by Pink Floyd by a group called Wax Audio. Other equally impressive concoctions are available for free on their web site at http://www.waxaudio.com.au (Ray Parker Jr and AC/DC anyone?).
