Pretty cool winners though my personal choice was Great Wall of China, The Taj Mahal, Kiyomizu Temple, Christ the Redeemer, The Colosseum, The Kremlin & The Angkor Wat. Nice posting.
I'm surprised that the terracotta army of Xian didn't make the list Hruuuumph! They didn't ask my opinion!
Good choices,Nick. I don't know why we have to limit it only to seven wonders of the world. There are so many to choose from :) Granted, when the original or traditional seven wonders were listed they were mostly from the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern regions since they didn't have the ability to poll the whole world at the time.
Good one, Skeet, and one I hadn't even thought of. I am sure we could come up with a lot more instances of wonders in our world if we could give it more thought. I would like to find the whole list of over 200 nominees and research each one. But your choice is a perfect example why I've got this nagging feeling that there are possible a lot better choices to be listed as the top seven wonders of the world.
Hey guys! I'd be interested to know which of the nominees you don't think were worth the nomination at all... it's interesting to see how different people see these "wonders."
Check out my coworker's less worldly, more techy list... Seven Wonders of the Tech World
Hi Lindsi, thanks for visiting Bonez. I haven't reviewed the entire list of over 200 nominations for the new seven wonders so I can't say for sure which ones were not "worthy" in my opinion. Hopefully, I will get to see said list soon and may have a more thorough answer. I think the seven winners were okay but would have selected some different ones like the Pyramids and Angkor Wat which (in my opinion) definitely beat out at least the Christ the Redeemer statue.
Thanks for the linkie. Isn't that GooglePlex the most amazing place in the world to work? Wow, what a great company to try to imitate for employee care.
