Butterfly Caught

I am in the process of metamorphosing.

I have metamorphosed since the day I became self-aware.

Much of the time I did not comprehend the slow transformation of becoming something other than what I thought I was.

What I thought I was based upon what the illusion this planet wanted me to think of myself as.

What I was tricked into thinking Others wanted me to be.

To earn their love and the pleasure they might give.

I was slowly ever so slowly morphing into what I was truly meant to Be.

What I had agreed to Be before I was born into this alleged reality.

A lifelong spiritual journey taken one step at a time

one heartbeat at a time.

And sometimes

one mistake or poor choice at a time.

Becoming

Being

It is not easy perpetually experiencing the painful rebirth

and drawing anew life's breath in this moment we call Now.

One breath at a time

Metamorphosing.

Video is Butterfly Caught by Massive Attack.

The only constant in life is change. We are all morphing and adapting to the world around us. Some seek to rise above what surrounds us, others seek to blend in or even hide from it. The simple fact remains that we all must constantly change lest we be left behind.

E ~ As the Buddhists would say, "Permanence is an illusion". Change is definitely constant as the Universe is not standing still and is always progressing and manifesting its own highest good and Perfection. The only way we can be "left behind" is through the choice we make in our own minds. We choose to live a different dream and think of ourselves as actually being "separate" from the one single source that we are all connected to. I believe you may call that sole (soul?) source "The Force" (giggling inside).

Michelle ~ I fully agree and that is really what has been my primary focus over the last year. Michael Jackson's "The Man in the Mirror" is exactly about that and so it moves me tremendously whenever I hear it. It speaks to me. It confirms within me that we each individually are responsible for enacting positive change worldwide through making those changes within ourselves first. One wise person said it this way, "Be whatever it is you want to see in someone else or the world as a whole." So be it.
