Gecko Eating Ants of Life are Carrying Me Away

Some days I feel like the dead gecko
the tiny ants of life relentlessly swarming over my carcass
ripping off ant bite sized chunks of my flesh
carting each bite off to their dark underground storeroom
one tiny ant mouthful at a time
until nothing is left

not even the memory of the good I may have done

before death

and the ants of life eating me
until nothing was left
