Lindy Hop is a dance that developed in the African American culture in New York City in the late 1920s. It is the mother/father of Rock'n Roll or Swing dancing. This clip is from "Hellzapoppin'" which was a long running Broadway musical hit in 1939 and was turned into a movie by Universal in 1941. It makes modern breakdance look less artistic, doesn't it? (Be a little patient watching this clip - the first half is just lovely jazz music...)
