Hi Blue. Yes, I keep an eye on you and your hits and see that those very nice pictures you use in your posts bring you lots of visitors. I've dabbled in that myself and it does indeed work. But that's my point... I was finding myself posting such pictures and videos solely in hopes of luring more visitors to Bonez... in an apparently vain hope that they would actually stay to watch some videos or read my text. That's not to say that I will not post more in the future but if I do it will be because of something that interests me and not with the intention of generating shallow traffic. What good is traffic if the visitors don't stay long enough to appreciate other things in the blog other than a little skin? So, for now, I will post videos and write about what interests me at the moment and not worry about if anyone is reading or watching. After all, blogging Bonez is for me and used as a creative outlet and stress-busting tool. Actually, it's sort of a relief to stop watching the hit counter and being "depressed" because I didn't draw a few hundred visitors that day.
I for one am glad to see your voice on the page again! And I guess I should admit that I've had you in my Bloglines forever, but I rarely actually come to the blog itself unless there's a video that interests me.
Thank you, Viki. People have been on me for a year to start really writing again like I used to on Bad Monkey No Banana... but I just didn't have it in me since I turned BMNB into a memorial for Charles versus an active blog. Besides, the writing there wasn't really anything but spontaneous verbalization of my grieving experience and not necessarily anything all that "creative" or entertaining. By not worrying about whoring Bonez for hits I hope to let some more creative cats out of the bag and find my voice again. However, I will not write stuff simply in hopes of gaining readership. Guess I am feeling sort of like that baseball movie in which it was said, "build it and they will come." :) Which, to me, means that the audience or readership will develop as Bonez matures. So, I fully expect that Bonez will continue to go through convulsions as I play with it and tweak it to fit whatever whim I am feeling at the moment. Thanks for visiting, Viki.

Most of my hits are from image searches.

I may have a lot of images but I write a lot and the writing tends to get more comments. The writing is also what gets me linked on other blogs.
Again, you are correct, Blue and I have learned a lot about blogging from you. Keep an eye on your young padawan as he stretches his blog wings :)
