Alive in Joburg: SciFi Short Film by Blomkamp
I enjoy just about anything Science Fiction. I think
Neill Blomkamp
created this sci-fi short,
Alive in Joburg
, as a nod to the influence of the
Alien Nation
franchise. Like
Alien Nation
,
extraterrestrials
are stranded on earth and are unwelcome refugees that are feared by most humans. With works like this and
Tempbot
I have to wonder what sort of great science fiction movies Blomkamp could produce in the mainstream if given the chance. We may find out as he's been announced as the director for the upcoming
Halo movie
.
