Planet of the Vampires

The 1965 science fiction/horror classic Italian film, Terrore Nello Spazio, was an obvious major influence for Ridley Scott's Alien in 1979. Directed by Mario Bava and Sergio Leone and released in the U.S. as Planet of the Vampires, the film featured elements of style and storyline that put it ahead of similar B movie favorites of the time.
