This month the
World Community Grid began processing for the
Cancer Institute of New Jersey in a collaborative project with
Rutgers University and the
University of Pennsylvania. The project will assist in identifying
biomarkers in
breast and
head and neck cancers to allow physicians to better and more quickly identify the exact cancer a person may be suffering from thus allowing more specific and effective treatments. The Help Defeat Cancer project joins the
FightAIDS@Home and the
Human Proteome Folding projects.
