Moon Exploration is Coming Back in a Big Way

You may assume that the height of Moon exploration is long past with the last of the Apollo missions. However, that notion is rapidly changing due to private companies joining with governments and privately financing lunar exploration and the establishment of permanent stations on the Moon.

Read more about the Israeli-built spacecraft Beresheet launched into orbit on one of SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rockets and scheduled to land on the Moon April 11, 2019.

Teenager Fights to Reclaim Gus Grissom's Spacesuit from Smithsonian

Grissom in SpacesuitFifteen-year-old Amanda Meyer takes on the big dogs of the Smithsonian Institute and the U.S. Government in her fight to reclaim the spacesuit of her hero, Astronaut Gus Grissom who died in a flash fire accident aboard a Gemini space capsule in 1967. Amanda uses her web site named "Victory For The Suit" to build an online petition and to solicit for corporate sponsors to aide her in her battle. She has petitioned every member of the United States Senate and wants to have the suit permanently stored in a memorial museum that is easily accessible by the Grissom's family.
