Phenomenology
Dark Star is a science-fiction, cult classic movie from 1974. It was directed by John Carpenter (Halloween, Escape from New York, Big Trouble in Little China, etc) and co-written by Carpenter and Dan O'Bannon. O'Bannon also acts in the film (playing Sgt. Pinback, who delivers the first dialog in this clip) and would go on to write the screenplay for the movie Alien -- loosely based on one of the subplots of Dark Star.
