Differences Between Being a Conservative and Being a Progressive

The Heritage Foundation’s Genevieve Wood explains three fundamental differences between being a Conservative and being a Progressive.

So sick of all the finger pointing between Democrats, Republicans, Socialists, and Capitalists. One reason I am a Libertarian and a "Moderate" and do not try to debate religion or politics. However, I think people, in general, are confused as to what the fuss is all about and it really does not to dummy down to either Party being totally good or bad ... or right or wrong. It all boils down to YOU and if YOU are a Conservative or a Progressive in your thought processes about yourself, your family, your community (Friends and Neighbors), your Country and the World. Are you a Giver or a Taker? Are you a Protector and Provider depending on your own gumption and skills to take care of yourself and your family and do what you really want to in life and make your own decision on the path you take to accomplish that? Or, are you just the opposite and want someone bigger/higher/smarter (according to your perception) like the government to make all the tough decisions for you and tell you what you can and cannot do and provide you all your "needs" (needs THEY decide you do or do not have) without your input?  Do you research for yourself the real issues affecting us all or do you rely on the government/corporation controlled media and mouthpieces to guide your thoughts and actions and just go with the flow of what seems to be the winning side at the moment? Know yourself FIRST and then honestly decide what is right for YOU no matter what anyone else tries to tell you what is right or wrong.
