Stairway to Heaven by Naudo

I was a big Led Zeppelin fan in my high school days. It was sadly just a few years after the death of John Bonham so I never really had a chance to see them. The year after I graduated was when the Far Corporation released their cover of Stairway to Heaven -- sacrilege!!! Surprisingly, the original version by Led Zeppelin never charted because they steadfastly refused to edit the track down for a single (7" 45 RPM back in those days for you young whippersnappers). Because of this, and the often obscene lack of good taste found in the Brits, the Far Corporation was not only the first group to put Stairway on the charts but they also made it all the way to #8. Sad but true.

This guy goes by the name of Naudo. He was born in Recife, Brazil, in 1961. He has more talent than the Far Corporation and probably more talent than everyone on the UK singles chart combined. You can check out his YouTube channel here. Amazing.

We were also talking yesterday about how Robert Plant is looking a lot like King Theoden from Lord of the Rings. Compare http://tinyurl.com/8ggzsq and http://tinyurl.com/6pxcuz. Funny.
