Electing a US President in Plain English

Many Americans have no clue as to how a President of the United States is really "elected". There is so much confusion that if you were to ask three random people on the street to explain the election process you would most likely get about eight different answers. If you are lucky you will get some sort of attempted explanation, but more than likely you would receive a slack jawed drooling blank look for your efforts. I firmly believe it is very important that all voters know the significance of what they are doing when they cast their vote and the process those votes put into motion. So, as a patriotic public service, the Bonez Interwebs Research Department (BIRD) scoured the multitude of interwebs for a simple yet concise video tutorial on the U.S. election process. That diligent research paid off and the BIRD discovered the masters of plain English presentations folk at The CommonCraft Show. The video was created and produced by Lee and Sachi LeFever and posted on YouTube. Now we can all finally learn about how the next president and vice president will be "elected" in simple to understand language and cunningly crafted cutout paper images.

Now that you are properly educated and Bonezified on the election process get out there and vote. Doing so gives you complaining rights no matter who ends up the next president.

The Bonez Interwebs Research Department (BIRD) spent eleventy-nine plus hours delving into the sordid underbelly of online political process video tutorials secret underground and all you can say is, "Nice." ?!?

Excuse me I must continue. It is nice that a public service, video you have just watched, makes us aware of the American Voting process and all of its quirks.

You see back in the day when people where afraid of Mob rule they made it so that the Mob rule people where kept in check by the Electoral College just in case.

Now that we have such a high rate of education in this nation *giggles* we perhaps should abolish the Electoral college.

Thoughts?

Blue, you're such a good sport :) thank you for your continued support of Bonez. We'll always leave the light on and the key under the door mat for you.

Thanks, and remember to vote because if you do not vote the mob will get crazy!

It's my understanding that the Republicans have the mob in mind as they are activating police and National Guard to patrol the streets with riot gear in case the voters get out of hand. Say WTF?!? Seriously, they are well prepared to do their next Red Flag should they need to. Trust No One. But VOTE anyway and show them we are tired of this bullshit and aren't going to stand for it any longer.

My friend there are veterans like me who would proudly die to protect you and your family's liberties.

That is just the way we are.

Being a veteran myself and a proud member and officer in the American Legion, I will continue to fight for my country any way possible. I consider being an active voter and proponent of Honest Government For the People and By the People to be at the forefront of that "fight". And yes, I would still willingly lay down my life for my country to preserve the rights and liberties we all enjoy as being the greatest nation on Earth.

I just joined the Legion and am trying to volunteer at the Dallas VA Medical Center at 4500 S. Lancaster Road Dallas, TX . I would love to help veterans out with anything they need.

I just sent Sue Wolf, the volunteer head, an email about what I would like to do, which was I will do what ever you need.

A fellow Veteran and Legionnaire! Awesome, Blue. I am Vice Commander of Atlanta Post #1 and am also on the VA and Rehab committee (and several others). So, yes, I fully understand you saying, "whatever you need" because it is so true. I and several of my post members are going to a couple of "old folks homes" Veterans Day to spend time with some of our older troops ;) Should be fun.
