Lady Gold Pants Guitar Hero III Demons

Chaikaroma does it again and hits my giggle box with some awesome funny video goodness with a Leslie Hall's satirical rap music video How We Go Out which puts Weird Al Yankovic to shame. Leslie Hall, Lady Gold Pants... you go, girl!

The Wooster Collective is a site dedicated to showcasing ephemeral art placed on streets around the world. Since many of these artistic expressions are very short lived this may be one of the few places that will memorialize the artists' efforts. A good example is this crazy blue street in Holland done by Henk Hofstra that looks like a canal from the air. Does the Netherlands really need more canals?

Guitar Hero IIII have fallen to the Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock demon. I fought valiantly through the original Guitar Hero and put up with the maniac zombies of Guitar Hero II and even resisted the evil lure of Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s but succumbed to the seductive embrace of Guitar Hero 3 on the Wii. The Devil Went Down to Georgia, ya'll and his name is Guitar Hero III.

There is no escape from the juggernaut that is Guitar Hero. I too have fallen pray to the charms of the latest installment. I shall have to keep up with your progress in the game. Buzz me if you ever need tips. ;)

E., Dude I expect that you will produce an awesome Bonez post on Guitar Hero (with emphasis on GH3) sometime in the future and point out some good resources for hints and tricks and tips. Hey, in fact, you could regularly publish GH updates and become the Bonez resident expert on all things GH like when the 3rd party accessories will be out for each platform, what new download content is available where and when, etc. Whatcha think about that?

Funny you say that, as I had considered a new GH post that was relevant to the third game, seeing as how I am just a wee bit of a junky for the game. :P

I gotta say, Tony... I have never been a large fan of ZZ Top, though I have no particular disregard for their body of work, it's just that all I've really known of them is the 80's stuff. Legs, TV Dinners, etc. After playing Guitar Hero 3 for a few weeks, though, I must confess that I am in love with La Grange. Knowing that I only know the radio songs, what else would you recommend by them? I'm on the precipice of becoming a fan.

E. ~ ZZ Top [Billy Gibbons (guitar, keyboards, vocals; born December 16, 1949), Dusty Hill (bass, keyboards, vocals; born May 19, 1949), Frank Beard (drums; born June 11, 1949)] sings mostly about sex, cars, beer, food and more fetish sex but they make me feel good and have done so since the 70's.

I cannot over recommend ZZ Top's third album Tres Hombres as it really was the one that launched "That Little Ol' Band From Texas" on their road to success. Some of my favorites from that album (besides La Grange) is Jesus Just Left Chicago, and Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers. Personally, I love the songs you mentioned but didn't like, but each to his own tastes :) Here are my favorite ZZ Top songs from all albums...

Heard it on the X, Tush, Blue Jean Blues, Waitin' for the Bus, Just Got Paid, Back Door Love Affair, I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide, Cheap Sunglasses, Tube Snake Boogie, Pearl Necklace, Gimme All Your Lovin, Sharp Dressed Man, Legs, TV Dinners, Got Me Under Pressure, Sleeping Bag, Woke Up with Wood, Rough Boy, Can't Stop Rockin', Planet of Women, Velcro Fly, Delirious, Brown Sugar, Bedroom Thang, Arrested for Driving While Blind, Ten Foot Pole, Concrete & Steel, Penthouse Eyes, Lovething, My Head's in Mississippi, Give it Up, Burger Man, Stages, Doubleback (Back to the Future 3), Viva Las Vegas, Gun Love, Rhythmeen, El Diablo, Pincushion, Girl in a T-Shirt, Breakaway, What's Up with That, Bang Bang, A Fool for Your Stockings, Fearless Boogie, 36-22-36, She's Just Killing Me (From Dusk Till Dawn)... and ???

I would suggest snagging one of their greatest hits compilations like Rancho Texicano: The Very Best of ZZ Top or one of my favorite collections with a great music video compilation is ZZ Top Greatest Hits.

Hope you check them out further and plan to go to their next concert when they are close.

Thank you very much for the suggestions. I have placed an order for both Tres Hombres and Rancho Texicano. They should arrive before too long and I will definitely check them out in the coming days. I am definitely willing to give them a whirl.

On a side musical related note, a remix album of Nine Inch Nails material was just released, called Y34RZ3R0R3M1X3D. I cannot recommend this one highly enough. It is all remixes of Reznor's work done by other artists. Fantastic stuff.
