Liger is the Newest Super Cat

At over 900 pounds, the Liger is the largest cat on earth. The product of forced breeding between a male lion and a female tiger, the Liger is nearly twice the size of it's parents. I wonder what is the true intent of the scientist breeding such a super cat? What other secret new species of beasts are being created and their existence and purpose hidden from the public? What corporations are backing such experiments in genetic manipulation and what do they hope to gain from financing this research? Will the experience of creating a new super predator move mankind forward in finding cures for diseases or progressing the process of world peace?
