The 1951 science fiction classic The Day the Earth Stood Still stars Michael Rennie and Patricia Neal. The film spawned the phrase, "Klaatu barada nikto" that has no known translation but was used to stop the giant robot Gort's rampage and is referred to often today as homage to the movie.
