Paula Abdul Dodges Airport Security

paula abdulI like Paula Abdul just as much as the next guy but this is a time I think "star status" should have a definite cost associated with it. Ms. Abdul and "a companion" ("a companion" meaning not known enough to be considered worthy of press coverage) were allowed to board a Southwest Airlines flight at the Las Vegas airport without passing through a mandatory security checkpoint. Therefore, when arriving in Burbank, California all passengers and luggage had to be security screened (again!).
Such preferential treatment and bypassing established security procedures is unacceptable. In this day and age of post-September 11th homeland security precautions, such an action should be punished by at least forcing Paula Abdul (and those who assisted her and her "companion") to pay for the time and expense of conducting the security screening of all the passengers and luggage at Burbank. If Abdul had been a "normal" person she would be in custody and under interrogation now instead of hiding from the press behind the skirt of her publicist.
