Monster Kid Home Movies

monster kid home moviesI'm glad to see that I wasn't the only kid who experimented with making monster home movies with my super 8mm camera. Monster Kid Home Movies is a compilation of 30 such endeavors by kids from the 50's to the 80's. There are even some notable "famous" artists (once they grew up) like Kerry Gammill, now a graphics and comics artist, Frank Dietz, now a Disney animator and filmmaker Robert Tinnell. The disc is top notch quality with a well thought out menuing system. The reproduction of the old 8mm films is crisp and free of scratches. The shorts have a good balance and range from silly kiddie dress up to very talented attempts at young filmmaking. You will laugh. You will cry. You will choke on your popcorn and love every minute of it.
