Supercomputer Fights AIDS at Home is an Information Week article giving an overview of the Fight AIDS at Home project joining the powerful World Community Grid in the battle to find a cure and better treatments for those afflicted with the dreaded HIV virus that causes AIDS. The virtual supercomputer will test thousands of HIV mutations against tens of thousands of chemical compounds. That will help scientists design effective therapies to stop potential drug-resistant viral strains from causing AIDS.
