Bodies in New York

A full-body human specimen injected with a polymer preservative is displayed during a media preview to introduce an exhibition called 'Bodies' at South Street Seaport in New York November 10, 2005. The show will feature 22 whole bodies and over 260 diseased and healthy organs in various stages of dissection to give visitors insight into the inner workings of the human body. Mr. Bonez says, "Another awesome exhibit is called BodyWorlds and is done by Gunther von Hagens who achieved so much notoriety in Europe with his artistic treatments of human and animal cadavers."

I really wanted to see this exhibition while it was in Los Angeles, but I found out about it much too late. :(
